Overview
The Kenai River produces some of the largest king salmon in the world — fish to 90 pounds on a river that runs glacial blue through one of Alaska's most scenic corridors. The timing varies by species: kings in June and July, sockeye in July and August, silver salmon in September. Halibut charters out of Homer run concurrent with the river season. Meridian books a private lodge on the upper Kenai with exclusive water access, a dedicated guide team, and a floatplane for access to backcountry lakes.
