Overview
Chamonix sits at the foot of the Mont Blanc massif in a steep-sided valley that has been the center of European alpinism for two centuries. The skiing is among the most demanding in the world — the Vallée Blanche is a 20-kilometre off-piste glacier run from the Aiguille du Midi; the Grand Montets offers some of the best steep and powder terrain in the Alps. The town itself is authentic and unpretentious, with excellent restaurants and a community of professional guides and athletes. Meridian books a private chalet in the Chamonix Sud quartier with a personal mountain guide.

Concierge Note
“We exclusively work with IFMGA-certified guides who have 10+ years on the Mont Blanc massif. The difference in experience between a local expert and a general guide is significant in terrain this serious.”
