Overview

Niseko receives more snowfall than almost any resort in the world — an average of 15 metres per season, driven by moisture from the Sea of Japan and deposited on the slopes of Mount Yōtei. The powder is famously light and dry, and the resort's open-gate policy allows access to extensive off-piste terrain immediately adjacent to the lifts. The Japanese cultural layer makes Niseko unlike any other ski destination: post-ski onsen soaking, exceptional ramen, whisky bars in centuries-old ryokan, and a standard of hospitality that redefines the word. Meridian books a private villa in Hirafu with a dedicated house manager and daily lift access.

Concierge Note

The Christmas–New Year period in Niseko is extraordinary — but also the most congested. We position members for early January windows when the powder continues but the crowds thin significantly.
