Overview

Chilean Patagonia's Aysén region holds some of the world's last truly wild trout rivers — the Palena, Futaleufú, and their tributaries run cold, clear, and almost entirely unfished. Brown trout to 10 kilograms are not uncommon. Access is by bush plane or horseback through terrain that has no road equivalent. Meridian coordinates a fully guided fly-in operation: float planes, private tents along the river, and two professional guides for a maximum of four anglers.
